A Small Chance of Redemption is a HermitCraft fanfiction by Aria_Cinabun. It follows False Symmetry through a redemption arc after she killed and executed many "traitors" of the kingdom as the Queen of Hearts and Body Parts. She roams on the outskirts of her childhood home, which she had been taken from, HermitVille. She was taken at the age of eight with her friends Cleo and Stress, along with 47 other girls from all over the kingdom. (The Southern Kingdom) They were tested on for corrupt magic purposes until False agreed to stay forever in return for having the other girls released and their memories wiped. False continued to execute people on the behalf of the kingdom and was forcefully married to the Black Knight. She ran away from the castle and traveled back to HermitVille. False doubts that the small, friendly town will accept her, now that they most likely know that she is the Queen of Hearts and Body Parts. So she continues to live in the woods near the village, fending off any monsters that come close to HermitVille. She finds out that instead of corrupted magic, she has pure magic, which is never seen except for in the Northern Kingdom. False has the power to control water. When the Black Knight and some castle guards post a poster of her, naming her Sinner, and murderous shapeshifter. But after False saves a few of her old friends from a spider, will she get her redemption?
A Small Chance of Redemption is a great book with an amazingly thought out plot. The way Aria writes is amazing as she can show real emotion and develops lots of empathy for the characters, especially False. The story can be a bit confusing at the end of the book, as it is difficult to keep track of the characters.
If you would like to read A Small Chance of Redemption, you can access it through Wattpad by searching its name or through this link. Warning: This book is made up of three different Arcs and 68 chapters. This is not a short story. I myself took almost a whole day to finish it.
Have Fun Reading!
